It isn't raining. We can all go out and play but there is this one book that's definitely worth the little time you'll spend reading it. In The Turtle Always Wins, Bo Sanchez will tell you how to make millions in the stock market. Seriously. Not right away though. Slow and steady, just like the turtle. It's such a short read but it could really go far if you do something about what you learn from it.

I've been wanting to write this since I got the book but I just didn't have the personal experience to support it yet. But where are we now? Barely seven months into the market, not having a clue where that little book is, this is what I know:

How much is that 18.93% figure? Not a lot. I don't have a lot to put into the market but for those of you who do (AND those who don't since it doesn't take a lot to get started), the Philippine Stock Exchange is worth checking out. With the Philippines being one of the top markets in 2013, why not give it a shot? :)

"When you want something, all the universe conspires to help you achieve it."

Some journeys take very long. All the time we invest are never wasted as long as we treasure what we encounter along the way. Read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and be inspired by such a journey.

"Here's some advice. Stay alive."

For the non-readers, the first entry (A Song of Ice and Fire) might not be very encouraging. With five books already out in the series, way too many pages, and small texts in each book, it could very well be daunting.

Here goes one that will surely be a great starter: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. With only three books in the series, a few hundred pages with big fonts, and an action-packed story, this is a book that will be hard not to read to the end. There are already full-length reviews out there and I am not going to write one more. Here's the only thing I have to say: I do not normally read books more than once but I DID read this for a second time. :)

"When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground."

A Song of Ice and Fire is a six-part series written by the American author, George R. R. Martin. The first title in the series, A Game of Thrones, (also the name used for the television series created for HBO), was first published in 1996. A Dance with Dragons, the fifth book, was released just last year.

My good friend, Rex, wrote a Php5000-worth review of the book series way before all the recent hype started. This is a very good read. Need I say more?

"The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read."
- Mark Twain

You are seeing this entry because the first books I want to write about are not here right now. They are out in the world entertaining my friends. I'll write about them as soon as I get them back. :)
